St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center is one of the largest not-for-profit voluntary hospitals in the country. The Hospital Center was formed in 1979 as a result of a merger between St. Luke's Hospital, which was founded in 1850, Woman's Hospital established in 1855, and Roosevelt Hospital, which dates back to 1871. We are a University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and part of a City-wide health care network, Continuum.
St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center (SLRHC) consists of two clinical sites, serving the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The St. Luke's Hospital site is located at Amsterdam Avenue @ 114th Street, adjacent to the Columbia University undergraduate campus. The Roosevelt Hospital site is located at 10th Avenue @ 59th Street near Lincoln Center. This area includes the American Museum of Natural History, Rose Earth Center, Broadway theatres, Central Park, the AOL Time Warner Center, and innumerable shops and restaurants. This large neighborhood, with over one million residents from various ethnic and socioeconomic groups, provides a diverse patient population with a broad spectrum of pathology seen at every stage. In addition, St. Luke's-Roosevelt provides services to patients from all over the Tri-State metropolitan area, referred to our highly regarded tertiary care programs.

We have designed our program to optimally meet the needs of a practicing Nuclear Medicine physician. The program combines didactic training in basic science and
clinical Nuclear Medicine, hands-on practical instrumentation and software experience, interpretive and patient-management skills, knowledge of research methodology,
and administrative skills. We have received three successive five-year accreditations by the ACGME Residency Review Committee. Without exception, our graduates have passed the ABNM examination and are practicing Nuclear physicians or have continued their training in a related specialty such as Radiology.
